On August 19, 2025, KeyBanc Capital Markets acted as Sole Manager on the successful closing of $32 million National Finance Authority Lease Revenue Bonds, Tax-Exempt Series 2025A and Taxable Series 2025B (the Series 2025 Bonds) for the NCCD-UNR Fieldhouse Properties LLC (the Borrower).

The Series 2025 Bonds were issued to primarily finance the cost of the development, design, construction and equipping of a new fieldhouse and turf fields (the Project) on the campus of the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR). The Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE), on behalf of UNR, will enter a 35-year Ground Lease and corresponding 30-year Sublease with the Borrower for the purposes of executing the Project.

NSHE currently includes the three universities (one of which is UNR), a research institute, four community colleges and Nevada State University. UNR serves over 20,000 students and offers 123 major fields of study leading to baccalaureate and 131 major fields of study leading to advanced degrees through academic departments in these colleges and schools.

On June 26, 2025, KeyBanc Capital Markets (KBCM), as Sole Manager, and the City of Huber Heights, Ohio (the City), successfully closed a $56.2 million Various Purpose Notes, Series 2025 (General Obligation – Limited Tax) (the Notes) transaction. Proceeds received from the sale of the Notes will be used to 1) retire, with Note proceeds and cash in hand, Notes issued for the purpose of paying the costs of improving (a) the public works department, (b) city council facilities, (c) fire station facilities, (d) the Meadows infrastructure project, (e) public improvements; and (2) providing funds for City Hall renovations and the design of an indoor music center for community use.

Located just minutes from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and Dayton’s commercial center, Huber Heights is home to over 800 businesses, from high-tech manufacturers to distributors. The residents of Huber Heights are spread comfortably over 25 square miles. Just over 38,000 residents of diverse backgrounds earn an average income of more than $69,000. The City is a community that provides an outstanding business environment that supports a high quality of life and an affordable cost of living coupled with abundant recreational and cultural amenities. A host of nationally acclaimed institutions of higher learning are within minutes of the City, including the Air Force Institute of Technology, several acclaimed universities (Cedarville, the University of Dayton Wilberforce, Wittenberg, and Wright State, among others). Together these institutions offer everything from advanced degrees to executive leadership training and lend to robust community amenities.

In July 2025, KeyBanc Capital Markets served as Sole Underwriter on $58.9 million of taxable Public Finance Authority Senior Lien Revenue Bonds (E-470 Public Highway Authority Service Areas Project), Series 2025 (the Series 2025 Bonds, or the Bonds). 

The Series 2025 Bonds will finance the construction of four new service plazas along the 47-mile E-470 beltway around Denver, Colorado — Parker Southbound, Aurora Northbound, Commerce City Southbound, and Commerce City Northbound — under a long-term concession with the E-470 Public Highway Authority. Each plaza will feature fuel, food and beverage, convenience store, and electric vehicle services. The Bonds are being issued to (i) pay a portion of the costs and expenses incurred in connection with the design, construction, equipping and financing of the improvements; (ii) pay a portion of the interest payable on the Bonds during construction; and (iii) pay certain cost of issuing the Bonds and other permitted financing costs.

Applegreen is the largest highway travel plaza operator in Ireland and the second largest in the UK. It operates 620 forecourt sites across Ireland, U.K. and U.S. Applegreen has 530 locations and more than 700 food and beverage offerings. The key areas in the U.S. include the Midwest, across Indiana and Ohio, and the Northeast – New York, New Jersey, Maine, Delaware, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania.

KeyBanc Capital Markets served as Joint Lead Arranger on the successful close of $770 million Senior Secured Credit Facilities in relation to a hospital real estate portfolio recapitalization. 

A joint venture between Medical Properties Trust and Blue Owl Real Estate recapitalized its Utah hospital portfolio — a five-asset, 692-bed hospital portfolio located in Utah. The hospitals are leased by Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), a subsidiary of CommonSpirit Health and a member of its obligated group under the Master Trust Indenture governing its bonds. The triple net master lease terms include annual rental increases with the backing of CommonSpirit’s obligated group. The portfolio is situated in a high-value healthcare market and is expected to see continued growth.

KeyBanc Capital Markets served as Sole Manager on $79.5 million Indiana Finance Authority Tax-Exempt 501(c)(3) Student Housing Revenue Bonds (PRG-UINDY Properties LLC) Series 2025. The Series 2025 Bonds primarily finance the costs of acquiring three apartment-style student housing facilities (the Project) located on land owned by the University of Indianapolis. 

The Project will be owned and operated by PRG-UINDY Properties LLC, an Indiana limited liability company, whose sole member is Provident Resources Group Inc. The three housing facilities are the Greyhound Village apartment complex (480 beds), the University Lofts apartment complex (300 beds), and the College Crossing apartment complex (168 beds). The properties represent the only apartment-style student housing on or near campus. Proceeds will be used to fund required reserves and pay cost of issuance.

KeyBanc Capital Markets served as Sole Lead Arranger and Administrative Agent on the successful close of $84.9 million Senior Secured Credit Facilities in relation to the University of Utah’s (the University) The Annex Student Housing Project (the Project). 

American Campus Communities has partnered with the University of Utah to develop The Annex, a 1,449-bed, on-campus, first-year student housing project. The Annex broke ground in October 2024 and is expected to deliver in July 2026. The Project is a six-story, 349,342-square-foot residence hall located on the University’s main campus in Salt Lake City. The Project consists of predominantly double-occupancy rooms and suites, consistent with the University’s existing on-campus, first-year housing offerings, along with a 17,000-square-foot 2 campus hub on the first floor to serve students with additional study, social, and recreation areas, and dining. The property is subject to a 75-year ground lease with the University.

In August 2024, KeyBanc Capital Markets (KBCM) successfully closed approximately $96 million in Tax-Exempt 501(c)(3) Bonds for Purdue University Fort Wayne. The proceeds will fund the design and construction of a new student housing facility.

On March 26, 2024, KeyBanc Capital Markets (KBCM) and the State of Ohio successfully closed a $173.97 million Infrastructure Improvement General Obligation Bonds, Series 2024A (the Bonds) transaction. The Bonds were rated Aaa/AAA/AAA by Moody’s, S&P, and Fitch, respectively. The financing structure consisted of serial bonds maturing from March 1, 2025, through and including March 1, 2043. A 10-year par call optional redemption date of March 1, 2034, was included to provide the State with flexibility to refund the bonds for interest savings in the future. KBCM served as Senior Manager on the transaction.

The Bonds are general obligations of the State issued by the Ohio Public Facilities Commission (OPFC) to finance or assist in the financing of the cost of public infrastructure capital improvement projects of local subdivisions.

The Ohio Public Facilities Commission is a body corporate and politic constituting an agency and instrumentality of the state. It is composed of six members, being the incumbents in the elective offices of Governor, Attorney General, Auditor of State, Secretary of State, Treasurer of State, and the OBM Director. The governor serves as the chair, the Treasurer of State as the treasurer, and the Director of Budget and Management as the secretary of the Commission. The OPFC acts as the issuer of the state general obligation debt authorized by the Ohio General Assembly that is backed by the General Revenue Fund.

On March 21, 2024, KeyBanc Capital Markets (KBCM) and the Troy City School District of Ohio (the District) successfully closed a $87.83 million School Improvement Bonds, Series 2024 (General Obligation) (Unlimited Taxes) (the Bonds) transaction. The Bonds were rated Aa2 by Moody’s. The financing structure consisted of serial bonds maturing from December 1, 2024, through and including December 1, 2044, and three (3) term bonds maturing December 1 in 2049, 2054, and 2060. A 10-year par call optional redemption date of December 1, 2033, was included to provide the District with flexibility to refund the bonds for interest savings in the future. KBCM served as Sole Manager on the transaction.

The Bonds were issued for the purpose of participating in the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission Classroom Facilities Program by raising the school district’s portion of the basic project cost and locally funded initiatives not exceeding one-half of the school district’s portion of basic project cost, by constructing three new PK-4 buildings and a new 5-6 building, including technology, site improvements, furniture, equipment, demolition and abatement of certain existing structures, landscaping and utilities.

The Troy City School District encompasses approximately 37 square miles and is in Miami County, which is bounded by Shelby, Champaign, Clark, Montgomery, and Darke Counties in western Ohio. Miami County is served by State Routes 41 and 55. It is approximately 20 miles north of the City of Dayton and has access to Interstate Highway 75. The District has 4,226 students in six elementary schools, one sixth-grade school, one junior high, and one high school (nine total schools). The major sources of revenue to the District are local property taxes on real and personal property, along with State aid.

On November 30, 2023, KeyBanc Capital Markets (KBCM) successfully closed $86.26 million in Tax-Exempt Parking System Revenue Bonds, Series 2023 (the Bonds) for UAkronPark Inc., a special-purpose entity formed by the Development Finance Authority of Summit County (the Authority) with Diogenes Capital serving as the Asset Manager. The Bonds are being issued to provide funds (i) for acquiring, constructing, furnishing, equipping, maintaining, and improving real and personal property, or any combination thereof, comprising the Parking System; (ii) to finance additional costs to improve the Project and the Parking System; (iii) to fund the Debt Service Reserve Fund for the Series 2023 Bonds, (iv) to fund capitalized interest on the Series 2023 Bonds, and (v) to fund the costs of issuing the Series 2023 Bonds. KBCM served as Sole Manager on the transaction.

On June 22, 2023, KeyBanc Capital Markets (KBCM) successfully closed on a $90.05 million Senior Secured Revolving Credit Facility in relation to the Eastern Michigan University (the University) utility concession. The funds will be used for capital expenditures and energy conservation measure projects for the utility system at the university. KBCM served as Joint Lead Arranger, Joint Bookrunner, and Administrative Agent on the transaction.

On February 28, 2023, KeyBanc Capital Markets (KBCM) successfully closed $114.29 million of Senior Secured Credit Facilities in relation to the University of California, Berkeley's (the University) Albany Village Student Housing Project. The funds will be used as construction financing to develop the 761-bed student housing project at the university. KBCM served as Coordinating Lead Arranger on the transaction.
