Joshua Mayers
Senior Vice President, Senior Banker
Joshua joined KeyBank in May 2002 and currently advises commercial real estate clients in Institutional Real Estate, where he has been since 2005. His experience is in business origination, relationship development, and client management, with a focus in the public REIT, private REIT, and real estate private equity sectors. Joshua has advised large institutional fund and REIT clients on optimal capitalization structures and has held the lead role in credit facilities ranging in size from $20 million to $3.9 billion. His commercial real estate areas of expertise are primarily in multifamily, industrial, retail, single-tenant NNN, and non-traded REITs. Joshua also has experience in working out troubled credits while preserving relationships. Most of Joshua’s credit relationships are syndicated to bank market participants, with KeyBank acting as Lead Arranger and Administrative Agent or KeyBank acting as sole lender. Prior to KeyBank, he was a Middle Market Corporate Banker with Firstar Bank (formerly Mercantile Bank, now part of US Bank) in St. Louis, Missouri. Joshua holds a BA in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis and MBA from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis. Joshua is a 2008 graduate of the Cleveland Bridge Builder program through the Cleveland Leadership Center. He was the Board Secretary and a member of the Executive Board of The Mandel Jewish Day School in Beachwood, Ohio from 2012-2018, and a member of the Head of School Search Committee. Joshua has also served on the board of the Mandel Jewish Community Center and was the co-chair for the JCC annual fundraising event in 2021. Joshua was a 2018 graduate of the Mortgage Bankers Association Future Leaders Program. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Goods Bank NEO, a nonprofit providing discounted durable goods to organizations across Northeast Ohio.
